The proposals for St John's Precinct are part of a programme of improvements to encourage the pedestrian flow between the Talbot Gateway Development and the ongoing Hounds Hill retail development.

Central Corridor phase II will continue the programme for improving the Blackpool arrival experience started in Central Corridor Phase I (George Bancroft Park). The project which includes the Lonsdale car park north of Bloomfield Road adjacent to the football stadium, will define a new positive and welcoming image for visitors entering the town by road. Key components of the project will be remodelled parking, landscaping and traffic management improvements.
